FAFSA and College Help Nights:
These will be held in the Library from 5:30-7:30 pm. Mrs. Thomas & Mr. Gonzalez will be available to help students sign up for the SAT and ACT, apply for college, apply for FAFSA or TASFA, and apply for scholarships as well as anything else college related.

Boys & Girls Club Collegiate Steps Program
Need help with SAT/ACT Prep, applying to college, financial aid, want a scholarship? Join Collegiate Steps program by the Boys and Girls Club! It’s for all students in grades 9-12. This mentorship program helps prepare you for college!
$350,000 worth of scholarships were given out last year. To be eligible for the scholarships you must become a member of The Boys and Girls Club, it is a $20 yearly fee, but can be waived if you have Medicaid. You must be a senior, participate at least 2 times per week at the local Boys and Girls Club, apply for at least 5 colleges and 5 scholarships, attend at least 80% of the Collegiate Steps Meetings, create a bio and a resume, attend an etiquette dinner and the banquet with CEO’s from companies like 7/11! The meetings are in Dallas, transportation can be provided if needed, they will feed you a hot meal at 5:30 and the meeting is from 6-8 pm. |

They also have other programs like Keystone that will take you on college visits, community service opportunities and if you want to go a different route than college they can help you get into real estate, landscaping, and small business startup.

Athletes
Make sure to register with the NCAA eligibility center if you plan on getting an athletic scholarship. When taking the SAT/ACT, use the code #9999 to send your scores to the eligibility center.
